Shane Harrison is a native New Yorker and RISD alum whose illustrations have been featured in numerous publications including New York Magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The San Francisco Chronicle. She is most often recognized for the hundreds of icons she illustrated for New York Magazine’s weekly guide section. Her work, which combines bold pop graphics with collage, is inspired by the work of the great graphic artists of the 1960′s and 70′s, such as Push Pin Studios, Heinz Edelmann and the books of Harlin Quist, as well as the spectacular Busby Berkeley films of the 1930′s and vintage photography. However, her greatest influence is her father Sean Harrison, an illustrator for over 40 years.
Shane’s work has been recognized five times by The Society of Illustrators, LA.
